Why UAB?

The Joint Reconstruction Service at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is the only orthopaedic practice in the state where orthopaedic joint reconstruction subspecialists provide your care. Our subspecialists focus on a specific area of orthopaedics and are skilled experts in that area and treat only patients within their area of expertise. They train for an extra year in joint replacement orthopaedics and devote their career to further study and research in that area. Our specialists are nationally and internationally recognized as experts in the field of joint replacement surgery, delivering lectures and publishing scientific articles and book chapters each year.
