Why UAB?

|
|
| The Hand & Upper Extremity Service at the
University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is the only orthopaedic
practice in the state where orthopaedic hand subspecialists
provide care for your hand, wrist, forearm, or elbow. Hand and
upper extremity subspecialists focus on a specific area of orthopaedics
and are skilled experts in that area. Our subspecialists have
trained for an extra year in surgery of the hand, wrist, and
elbow and devote their career to further study and research
in hand surgery. In addition, they have earned the Certificate
of Added Qualification, which is given only to experienced subspecialists
who perform at least 250 surgeries a year. Our subspecialists
treat only patients within their area of expertise, and they
share their expertise by training other surgeons and by lecturing
internationally and throughout the United States. |
