| The Foot and Ankle Service at UAB is a unique
multidisciplinary team of orthopaedic and podiatric surgeons
specializing in biomechanical and nonsurgical treatment options.
Our foot and ankle specialists focus their practice on the treatment
of abnormalities and pathologies of the foot and ankle and are
skilled experts in that area. They devote their career to further
study and research in foot and ankle surgery, and become members
of national organizations such as the American Orthopaedic Foot
and Ankle Society. They receive additional training in foot
and ankle pathology and receive certifications from the American
Academy of Podiatric Surgery, JCAHO, and the AOA. They share
their expertise in various areas of foot and ankle pathology
and its management by training other surgeons and by participating
in numerous annual conferences and presentations. |
